mildew from developing? ThanksI have panneling in my bathroom. Does anyone know of a ';clear coat'; or something to put on the pannel to keep?
I'd try some sort of sealant like Thompson's Water Seal. It will seal the wood fibers and prevent any kind of moisture from soaking into the wood. If there's no moisture, there'll be no mildew.I have panneling in my bathroom. Does anyone know of a ';clear coat'; or something to put on the pannel to keep?
Do you mean wood paneling? If so, you can use a urethan, either spray or brush on. I would use at least two coats if spraying, since it goes on thin (so it doesn't run).
If it is wood paneling,I would use Polyuretene. It's protective and it dries clear.
Once wood panel has mildew, you will have to remove it. I would install sheet rock to the studs after I clean them up and sprayed some bleach if the studs have mildew on them.
no way dude. rip it out,do it right. change that crap out or u'll be back there next year doing it again.
