Do you need to sand the solid colour layer on fibreglass before applying clear coat?

I've put 4 coats of acrylic paint on my fibreglass bumper, after thoroughly sanding the primer to be smooth and slick. Do I need to sand the paint layer again before putting the clear coat on?Do you need to sand the solid colour layer on fibreglass before applying clear coat?
No,it will stick. If you're worried about it and want a perfect job then lightly water sand the base coat after it dries and apply another couple wet coats that are thinned a little more. Then shoot the clear.Take it easy on the first coat and wet it down more on the last one.Watch for runs,it helps to have a heat gun ready.Do you need to sand the solid colour layer on fibreglass before applying clear coat?
Typically no.

Clear coat is usually applied about 40 minutes after the last base coat of paint is applied.

If your paint has tried refer to manufactures suggestions on applying the clear over a cured base coat.

Wet sanding, depending on the final look may be in order prior to clear coat application.
