How long before I apply clear coat?

I'm painting a bike frame. I've sanded, few coats of primer, and plenty coats of spray paint. What do I do now? Do I need to sand before the clear coat? How long should I wait before spraying on the clear coat?How long before I apply clear coat?

if the spray paint is rough at all, you may want to sand it, but if it's not rough, then it'll be fine without sanding. You'll want to let the paint sit for a good three hours before you consider clear coating it, but it's best to let it sit for a day or two just so you have a harder initial base coat.
if the paint is smooth, you need no further sanding... wait 24 to 48 hours after spraying last color coat, before applying clear coat...
