I have a nice air rifle stock and my Taurus PT-99 wood grips that I have painted flat od green, and im looking for a flat durable clear coat to finish them with. Any sugestions?? I dont want a clear coat thats going to chip easy, must be fairly durable. Also how many coats of clear do you recomend?Good flat clear coat for painted wood?
I would use Minwax Polyurethane .Your choice of flat satin or gloss.Two coats should work buffing in between coats with 0000 steel wool. Good Luck !Good flat clear coat for painted wood?
