I have a fiberglass boat and im getting ready to put a clear coat on the bottom of it and i was wondering what the best way to prep the bottom of it without going through the existing paint while sanding is.I need some pointers on putting a clear coat on my boat?
Why are you putting a clear coat on Gel coat? And on the bottom??
You sand cautiously to avoid going through, that's all. You only have to form a key not get rid of it - if there is damage you fill that first.
