Does putting a clear coat of mascara on your eyelashes protect them?

Someone told me that since mascara has coal tar in it, i should protect them using a clear base..


is this true? and what happens if i don't protect them?Does putting a clear coat of mascara on your eyelashes protect them?
No, it doesn't, it just gives them volume without the color. Also you really don't need to protect your eyelashes, they fall out every 5 months, but by that time a new one is there. So if any products say eyelash protector... don't waste your money.

The best way to take good care (protect) your eyelashes is to remove any mascara off well %26amp; make sure you don't over-curl your lashes when they have mascara on them. You should be fine.

The truth is that mascara doesn't really do anything to your eyelashes except give them volume. So no that's not true!
I dont think it will protect them
